10/5 Based on my comments, the writing notes, and your own ideas, write the final draft of your character analysis. Final drafts are not due until Monday (because of the pack trip), but revise as much as you can tonight and bring what you have done to school tomorrow. Spend a lot of time revising—this assignment is worth 150 points!Tuesday

10/1 Finish studying for vocabulary quiz #2. Make sure you know the definitions for all 20 words and that you can use them all in a sentence that shows the meaning of the word. The quiz is tomorrow.Friday

Monday
9/21 Finish reading “The Necklace” and finish preparing for the “Most Dangerous Game” debate. Make sure your Google Doc is complete with all your notes, quotations, and text written down for the introduction, main points, and rebuttal. The debate will be tomorrow after the reading quiz.Tuesday
9/22 Complete vocabulary #2. See the vocabulary page for the words and directions.Wednesday
9/23 Finish reading “Raymond’s Run.” Complete the writing assignment at the link.Thursday
9/24 Read “The Cask of Amontillado.” Read carefully so that you’re prepared for a reading quiz and/or class discussion tomorrow.Friday
9/25 Read in your IR book. Read about 70 pages this weekend. You may also work on the prewriting for the character analysis (character map), but it won't be due until the end of the period on Monday. If you didn't get much done on it on Friday, spend a little time on it over the weekend.

Monday
9/14 Read from page 13 to the end of the first column of page 20 of “The Most Dangerous Game.” Read carefully so that you are prepared for a reading quiz and/or class discussion on Wednesday. Study for the vocabulary quiz. There is no school tomorrow.Tuesday
9/15 Read at least 20 pages in your IR book and study for the vocabulary quiz. The quiz will be on Friday.Wednesday
9/16 Finish reading “The Most Dangerous Game” and complete a think write on the ending. What actually happened? Why does Rainsford come back to Zaroff’s house? Do you think it was a good decision? Why do you think the story ends the way it does? Did you like the story? Use direct quotations from the story to focus and deepen your writing.Thursday
