SNT: Calvin & Hobbes

After reading the comic strip, recreate it with words. Use the same dialogue and add in tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures, body language, etc. Show the images in the cartoon by adding in physical description. Make sure your dialogue mechanics are correct. You will receive two grades on this assignment: one for mechanics and one for content.

·        Start a new paragraph every time a new character speaks.

·        The physical description goes with the dialogue of the same person.

·        Punctuation goes before the quotation marks.

·        “Leave me alone,” he demanded as he stormed off . . . (lower case after the dialogue if it’s still the same sentence)

Calvin was oblivious to the outside world and barely noticed when Susie peeked over her backyard wall and coyly asked, “Hello, Calvin. Would you like to join my tea party?”

Frustrated with her nonsense, Calvin shoved his hands deep into his pockets . . .
