Monday
4/26            Write a scene analysis comparing one of the scenes in Baz Lurhmann’s Romeo & Juliet to Shakespeare’s. Analyze how he adapted the scene (what changes he made, how it works with Elizabethan English in the modern day, what specific details he added) and whether it was effective or not. Be specific. Write about 1.5 pages.

Be sure that you're ready to write SNT: Fear tomorrow in class. See the brainstorming notes for help thinking of ideas.

Tuesday
4/27            Finish your SNT: Fear writing. We'll finish the Calvin & Hobbes assignment in class tomorrow.

Wednesday
4/28            Complete Vocabulary #4. See the vocabulary page to get the words.

Thursday
4/29            Finish writing SNT: Those Girls Were Snobs.

Friday
4/30            Read in your new IR book and finish up your short story prewriting if you have not done so already.

4/29 Finish the SNT: Snobs. Be sure to show the concept rather than describe it. Use dialogue, description of the five senses, gestures, body language, facial expressions, description of the setting, etc. in order to create the experience for your audience. Do not merely list descriptions; tell a story. Make sure this assignment is at least one page long.

4/30 Read in your IR book and work on the final draft of your Mockingbird essay, due Tuesday.
