11/2 Finish studying for the Doll’s House exam. You may earn up to 10 points extra credit by thoroughly writing out answers to the study questions. The exam will be Tuesday.

11/3 Work on the first draft of your Doll's House essay. Due Thursday.

Wednesday
11/4 Finish writing the first draft of your Doll’s House essay. Due tomorrow.

Thursday
11/5 Based on peer editing comments, the grading criteria, and your own ideas, revise your first draft. Be sure to make significant changes and staple your second draft to the top of your first draft to hand in tomorrow.

11/6 Read in your IR book.

Monday
10/26 Choose two quotations from our recent reading of A Doll’s House and reflect on one of them in detail. Write at least one page about the quotation.

Tuesday
10/27 Character Reflection: Choose Nora, Krogstad, or Torvald and write an informal, short essay describing his/her character. Strengths, weaknesses, goals, morals, attitude towards others, etc. Use a few direct quotations to focus your writing. Write more than a page.

Wednesday
10/28 Think Write: Analyze the passage at the end of Act III, pages 62- 68. Use lots of quotations and reflect in depth. Write at least 2 pages, but write fast, focusing on your ideas over style and format.

Thursday
10/29 Work on the study questions for the Doll’s House exam. The exam will be next week.

Friday
10/30 Read in your IR book and work on the first draft of your Doll’s House essay. Due next Tuesday.

Week 9

Monday
10/19 Choose two quotations from A Doll’s House and choose one to reflect on in depth. Write at least one page on one of the quotations or at least a half page on both.

Tuesday
10/20 Study for vocabulary quiz #2. The quiz will be on Thursday.

Wednesday
10/21 So many students are absent today that the regular homework has been cancelled. Instead, make sure your Independent Reading is finished and finish studying for the vocabulary quiz.

Thursday
10/22 Complete vocabulary #3. Go to the Vocabulary Page to get the words and directions.

Friday
10/23 Choose a new IR book and get an early start on the second quarter reading assignment.

Week 8

Monday
10/12 Work on the final draft of your comparison essay, due Wednesday. Spend a lot of time revising and use the writing notes extensively.

Tuesday
10/13 Finish writing the final draft of your comparison essay. Due Wednesday.
