12/14            Study for your final exam in English. Complete your outline for the essay. Work on the study questions.

Tuesday
12/15            Finish studying for the English final. Complete the study questions and make sure you have a good outline with a strong thesis statement and appropriate quotations.

Wednesday
12/16            Study for other finals.

Thursday
12/17            No homework!

Friday
12/18            Enjoy the holidays and make sure to finish up your Independent Reading if you have not done so already. Research for speech contest if you want, especially if you didn't get much done last week when it was assigned for homework.

Monday
12/7     Finish reading Act IV of Cyrano de Bergerac. Read carefully so that you are prepared for a reading quiz and/or class discussion tomorrow.

Tuesday
12/8     Complete the Act IV questions. Finish reading Act V of Cyrano de Bergerac and start on the study questions to prepare for the final exam next Wednesday.

Wednesday
12/9    Browse through articles on the GoogleDoc and print out interesting/informative ones and highlight important information. Bring the highlighted articles to class Friday.

Thursday
12/10   Continue researching for the speech contest. Bring the highlighted articles to class tomorrow.

Friday
12/11   Read in your IR book and work on your study questions to prepare for the final on Wednesday.

Monday
11/30            Study for Vocabulary Quiz #4. The quiz will be on Friday, but start studying now because you will have other homework on Thursday. If you would like, you may re-take Vocabulary Quiz #3 tomorrow.

Old Assignments

10/13 Analyze the poem-duel scene in Cyrano de Bergerac. Discuss how Cyrano fights on two levels and what the scene reveals about Cyrano's character. Write more than one page and use at least 2 quotations to support your points.

10/15 Quotation Reflection #2. Choose two quotations from Act I of Cyrano de Bergerac and reflect on them in detail. Write at least a half page about each quotation (aim for more). See the link for more directions and a model.

10/16 Character Analysis: Cyrano. Analyze Cyrano’s character. Discuss his personality, his goals, his fears, his strengths, his weaknesses, his integrity. Is he a hero? How much does his nose bother him? Why do you think he acts the way that he does? Be specific in your analysis and use at least two quotations from the play to support your analysis. Write approximately 1 ½ pages.
