Choose four quotations from All Quiet on the Western Front and reflect on two of them in detail. As you go through the novel looking for quotations, review the plot, characters, significant scenes, etc. so that you are prepared for the test tomorrow. Write about one page on each quotation. Focus on analyzing the specific lines rather than summarizing the plot surrounding the quotations. Look at the model quotation reflection if you’re not sure what to do. The key to this assignment is choosing meaty quotations. Don’t start writing about a quotation unless you have a lot to say about it—choose carefully.

8/28 Re-read pages 58-64 of  A Doll’s House and complete a think write analysis of the scene. Emphasize content over grammar and form. Go deep, pull out quotations, and carefully analyze the two characters. Due Tuesday (but bring the first page, at least, to class on Friday)

8/29 Choose a new IR book and bring it to school on Tuesday. Start reading your IR book this weekend. Make sure you’re ready for the All Quiet exam on next Friday.
