Style Reflection

Discuss the following with a partner and hand in one paper per group.

1. Re-read the two "What does the Spanish add?" passage and write a reflection on the passage. Analyze the style and content of the passage focusing on meaning, syntax, diction, imagery, etc. And be sure to address the use of Spanish and what it adds to the meaning.

2. Re-read the knife-fight passage and write a reflection on it. Pay particular attention to style and analyze how McCarthy makes the scene so vivid.
